On one show Cookie spoke about communing with nature and talking to rocks. Ever since that show I have looked at nature differently and I actually have had a few conversations with rocks myself!

Christen and I meet every morning before the show and discuss how we think the show will go, who we are interviewing and how generally things will run.  Sometimes it goes just as we plan but most of the time it doesn’t.  Many of our guest are on the telephone and that creates problems all on its own.  We have had guest cut out during an interview, loose power, have their fire alarm go off, you name it and the strangest things happen.  When these crazy and unexpected things happen Christen and I just look at each other and crack up!

Christen and I love what we do! Doing the radio show is a blast. We get to meet the neatest people, have fun and learn tons. Not just from our guest and experts but doing a radio show provides all kinds of opportunities to learn. It may sound easy but let me tell you, there are times when I can’t even believe the show comes together. The magic of Radio! And of course our engineer Lori Lynn! She makes us sound great even on those off days.

Christen and I have so much fun in the studio. It really is a blast to go in and do the shows. Often we have our guest and experts in the studio with us which makes it that much more fun. Here are some pics of Christen and I just doing what we do best, having fun! Our guest was Andy Feld author of Simple Happy. Andy was so great, we plan on having him back! We really do have the best guests!

I can’t think of anything better to bring awareness to the benefits of not complaining.

I have been wearing my Complaint Free Bracelet for months now, no haven’t made it to 21 days without complaining. In fact my bracelet is so worn I might just have to replace it soon. However making myself aware of complaining has made a tremendous difference in the way I feel and how I treat other people. And when I do start complaining I catch myself and stop.

Congressman Sam Graves of Missouri has introduced House Resolution H.CON.RES.404 to officially declare the day before Thanksgiving “Complaint Free Wednesday” in the United States of America.

For this to become a reality, we need you to contact your congressional representative and ask him or her to become a Co-Sponsor of this bill. For it to pass, this bill needs 50 members of congress to act as co-sponsors.
